AUTHOR(S): Bharati Ahirwar and Dr. Bharat Verma
ABSTRACT:
Pragya Yoga, a structured form of yoga practice, integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness to promote holistic well-being. This study examines the impact of Pragya Yoga on women’s physical, mental, hormonal, and reproductive health. A systematic review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2000 and 2024. Search terms included “Pragya Yoga,” “Pragya Yoga Vyayam,” “yoga and women’s health,” “physical health benefits,” “mental health benefits,” and “reproductive health.” Findings from the review suggest that Pragya Yoga offers significant benefits across various domains of health. Physically, it improves posture, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and mobility in chronic conditions like arthritis. Mentally, it reduces stress, anxiety, and depression while enhancing emotional resilience and sleep quality. Hormonal and reproductive health also benefit from its practice, with improvements observed in conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes and mood swings. This study highlights the potential of Pragya Yoga as an effective, non-invasive intervention for improving overall health in women. Future research is recommended to explore its long-term effects and mechanisms in diverse populations to further validate its efficacy.
