Recreational sports culture and its relationship to sports for all for female students at the University of Babylon

ABSTRACT:
Culture, success, activity, communication, ethics, competition are great meanings and noble values. Sports for All help promote cultural and social development. Who among us does not practice or watch sports? There is no home without one or more people practicing sports. Sports are a universal language among the world's youth. The research aims to identify the role of Sports for All provided by sports and scouting activities for female students at the University of Iraq colleges and their relationship to the recreational sports culture of female students at the University of Babylon. It also aims to identify the level of recreational sports culture among female students, and the relationship of Sports for All to the recreational sports culture of female students at the University of Babylon. The researcher used the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature and objectives of the research. The research sample was selected using a stratified random method from female students of the colleges of Babylon University. The research sample numbered (2000) students for the academic year 2023/2024 AD. The retest was conducted on the exploratory study sample, which was outside the research sample and had the same characteristics and conditions. Its strength was (15) students from outside the research sample, with a time interval of (15) days between the two measurements. The first application was carried out in the period from 27/1/2024 AD and the second on 11/2/2024 AD. Pearson's correlation coefficient was used. The questionnaire form was applied in its final form to the research sample in the period from 13/2/2024 AD to 21/3/2024 AD. The researcher conducted direct personal interviews with the sample. The researcher used the statistical software package for the social sciences (SPSS), Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The study concluded that sports for all play a role in shaping the recreational sports culture of female students at the University of Babylon. It recommends that the administration and activities of sports and scouting at the University of Babylon's colleges should focus on organizing sports festivals and activities (volleyball, basketball, handball, and racket games).
