A study on how yoga can affect our mental health

ABSTRACT:
This paper's main goal is to introduce yoga as a means of enhancing mental health. While mental health is a condition of well-being in all facets of life, yoga has been utilized for thousands of years as a method for self-improvement with the ultimate goal of bringing the individual consciousness into harmony with the universal. Yoga has numerous benefits for mental health, such as enhancing concentration, lowering stress levels, and elevating emotions. Yoga poses like shavaasana, adho mukha vakraasana, and natarajasana are used to avoid anxiety and alleviate stress. This document lists many forms of yoga for various mental health conditions. Whether used alone or in combination with other therapies, yoga-based practices are widely used as therapeutic components for a variety of physical and mental ailments. There is presently a lot of research supporting the potential advantages of yoga-based therapy for a variety of lifestyle disorders. Additionally, recent studies have demonstrated the substantial benefits of yoga for mental illnesses like psychosis, anxiety, and sadness. The function of yoga as a therapeutic intervention and a prophylactic measure is examined in this research paper.
