A systematic review of the role of yoga in enhancing adjustment inventory

ABSTRACT:
In modern times, people are suffering from numerous types of difficulties. Stress and mental problems have become part of one's life. Excessive use of mobile phones and other electronic devices, and drug intake has caused many cognitions and social adjustment problems. Adjustment, attention, and cognitive functions are affected by electronics, lack of social interaction, and digital devices. Previous studies have shown that yoga can reduce stress and anxiety, social phobias, and adjustment problems and improve behaviour such as home adjustment, health, and emotional well-being. The patient, intervention, comparison, and outcome search strategies were used to identify the keywords. Using Yoga and Adjustment, Yoga and social adjustment 16841 papers were screened, and out of these studies, 48 Full-text articles were assessed for eligibility from three databases (PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar). For discussion, 8 studies were included in the review. There was a wide range of different age group sample sizes where the effectiveness of yoga on Adjustment problems and their subfactor had been researched. This systematic review also revealed that Adjustment in children and adults depends on emotional and social adjustment. The particular study on the systematic reviews showed the high effectiveness of yoga, yogic exercises, mindfulness, and other yogic techniques on the level of Adjustment problems among the populations. The study also revealed the coexistence of Adjustment problems with social behaviour.
