The effect of functional exercises on different surfaces in developing kinetic response speed, kinetic coordination, and the skills of blocking and defending the court in volleyball for young players

AUTHOR(S): Dr.Muthana Ahmed Aboode AL-Koofee
ABSTRACT:
This article intends to determine how functional workouts on various surfaces affect young volleyball players' kinetic coordination, blocking and defending the field skills, and speed of kinetic reaction. Due to the experimental method's compatibility with the nature of the study topic and its design of two equivalent experimental pre- and post-testing groups, the researcher employed it. The players of the Kufa Youth Volleyball Club for the 2023–2024 time of year comprised the research community, totaling (14) participants. The free player was eliminated, totaling (2), bringing the total number of players to (12). The sample was then split evenly between the two experimental groups. One of the most significant conclusions drawn by the researcher is that: The participants in the two experimental groups' functional workouts supported the development of their kinetic response and coordination speeds, and these developments had a positive impact on the accuracy with which they performed the ability to block walls in volleyball and defending the field. One of the researchers' most significant recommendations is to pay close attention to employing functional exercises on various floors in accordance with scientific training foundations to increase volleyball players' effectiveness during matches and tournaments.
