ABSTRACT:
Trigger finger or stenosing tenovaginitis is a hand disease caused by the entrapment of the flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus tendon, causing inflammation and limiting movement. The patient experiences mild discomfort, clicking, popping sounds, pain, tenderness, and stiffness. This case report explores the use of Yoga and Naturopathy in managing tenosynovitis of the hand, highlighting their holistic approach to health promotion and self-healing. A 57-year-old male patient with Type II Diabetes experienced pain in his left middle finger for 1 year and 2 months, causing stiffness and increased gripping sensations. After taking allopathic medication, surgery, and painkillers, the pain worsened. The PRWE scale and VAS score were used to assess disability and pain. A patient underwent a month-long Yoga and Naturopathy treatment, resulting in significant improvement in inflammatory signs and finger locking. The treatment improved physical locomotor function, allowing the patient to perform daily activities without discomfort. The one-month protocol also relieved pain, tenderness, and stiffness in the patient's left hand, restored joint range of motion, and enhanced their quality of life.
